All Brookside students are invited to join the show! Acts can be anything fun such as singing, dancing, acting or just pure silliness! More details and registration form below.
Guidelines
Who, When & Where?
Any student TK - 5th can sign up.
Limit one act per student
When: Nov. 22nd at 10:45am
Where: Brookside MPR
Who's Invited? Everyone! Parents, family & friends are all encouraged to come to the show & support our students.
What acts are allowed?
Singing, dancing, acting, martial arts routines, joke telling, piano playing... Any fun talent a student wants to showcase.
Time limit per act: 1 Min, 30 Sec.
Music, Props & Extras
MP3 music files must be emailed to Tera (tera.r.baker@gmail.com) by Nov. 4th.
Any items your student needs for their act can be brought the day of rehearsals & performances and kept in the MPR
Requirements
Nov. 4th Deadline:
Online application must be submitted & signed by parents. Printed copies are in the front office
New Date: Nov. 13th & 14th:
Performance reviews during lunchtime.
(This is updated to provide more time for students to practice routines)
Nov. 20th:
Dress Rehearsals 12:10pm - 2:00pm.
This is a super minimum day for parent-teacher conferences. Please plan to pick up your student at 2pm or transition to the Y Aftercare.

We need YOU to help make the showcase spectacular. Signup Genius coming soon.
Our goal is to make the Brookside Showcase a wonderful, educational, and fun experience for everyone. Therefore, we are asking that everyone demonstrate Brookside PROUD behaviors by being safe, respectful, and responsible, according to the school code. Students who are not safe, respectful, or responsible will be given one warning before being removed from the show.
Student will:
Be safe
I will take care of myself.
I will take care of others.
I will only go up on stage when the directors allow me to.
Be respectful
I will listen to the directors.
I will listen to my peers.
I will be respectful when other students are on the stage.
I will be respectful when I am backstage.
Be responsible
I will bring my music, costume, props, and/or whatever I need for my act to the Dress Rehearsal and Showcase.
I will take care of my belongings.
I will memorize my act and practice at home.
Parents/Guardians will:
Be safe
I will take care of the student and make sure they know the rules to stay safe.
Be respectful
I will communicate with the directors if there is an issue.
I will remain in the audience at all times, and not enter backstage area unless
pre-arranged with the directors.
Be responsible
I will make sure my child has the materials they need for their act.
I will help the student memorize their act and rehearse at home so that they are
well prepared to perform.
